1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

You could also subscribe to the forums and get an upgrade to Supporter or Lifetime Supporter here

My b/f's birthday is next weekend... We're both pretty well broke so anything costly is out of the question... HOWEVER... I have gotten him an album to start a photography portfolio with (this is what he wants to do - he's taking his first photography class right now and plans to get a degree in photography/digital imaging), and I *think* that I'm going to set up a little "scavenger hunt" that will work like this... I'm going to show up at his door with a "clue" that will include a note giving him fairly clear, but not outright, directions to the next "clue" ... the clue itself will be a little note, attached to the note will be something small and useful (i.e. a roll of black and white film, photo mounting tape, etc.) and some pictures I've taken... the pictures I'm giving him are going to go into a little home made mini-album that I'm making specifically for this occasion... The last clue will lead him to my house, and the actually gift - the album - as well as dinner a la "indoor picnic" style... Oh, and the birthday card, I also made, which has a picture of a screaming newborn of the front and says "We're all born naked and screaming, and if your lucky that sort of thing doesn't end there."
My question is ---- 1) Is this overboard for a not terribly serious relationship and 2) Is it corny?(if you say yes here, don't answer the next question!!!!) and 3) Any ideas to make it better????

Okay --- Crafty, creative beautiful people...HELP!!!!
