Hello everyone... Uhm.. I'm not sure how to put this and I just hope that this is a good thread to ask for help on... But I guess here it goes. I used to hunt, fish, trap, eat meat, etc. And I want to stop. Please anyone if you can offer a solution to my ever growing desire for meat do tell me. Also if there are any exeptions to being a vegitarian please note this too. Such as if you can eat crickets, or w/e or if an animal has died naturally if that's fine... idk. Thank you all and God Bless. =] Peace
do whatever you want just don't buy it from the supermarket...that stuff is loaded with hormones, anti biotics, it's probably cloned, you could probably find some parasites, the animals have been tortured . . if you want meat then eat it go out and get it I'm a vegan but I still fish sometimes. I know that sounds contradictory but eating a fish is really good for you. I just wouldn't buy farmed fish from the store...I think that's all fucked up. Everyone's different...do what you feel is right
well, at your age, it's probably not so much a vicious desire for meat as a desperate need for proteins. meats just the most obvious for you, given your history. there's any ways to go about becoming vegetarian, or at least eat less meat. just do a search on the internet. there's a vegetarian board on here where i'm sure they have slews of tips.
As long as the animal had a good life before it was put down for my meal i can rest easy. Large corporate plants and commercial farms are quite American and effecient, but I'd much rather have freshly hunted deer meat any day. My conscious can be clear.
Hey, how are you? It it nice to see someone at your age, using their mind to try and find a way to eat a healthier diet, while not killing something. Below are some reputable sites to help you understand more about this diet. - The first is the mayoclinic, home to some of the best doctors in the world, who are explaining the benefits to eating a vegetarian or vegan diet here- www.mayoclinic.com/health/vegetarian-diet/HQ01596 . I have also listed veganbodybuilding.com a site full of athletes that eat no animal products but are in amazing shape, something most people find impossible without body parts in their diet. Or you can look up Bill Goldberg and see a 6'4 280 wrestler who does not eat animals and is huge. http://www.vegetarianteen.com/articles/robertcheekeprotein.shtml - Is a site for teenagers looking to learn more about these diets. - These sites should be a good start to get you further information and recipes, as well as other people who can help you with any questions. You asked about grasshoppers... Your screen name is peaceful river, so try to keep it that way but with everything, there is really no need to harm anything, they did not ask to be alive just like you or me, the only difference, we have an amazing gift of intelligence and it should be used with responsibly by respecting life. Good luck.
