Its mostly preference when it comes to washing dreads. Some people prefer organic shampoo like Dr.Bronners, others simply water, while some people just use regular shampoo.

Although Regular shampoo does take forever and a day to rinse completely out and dry fully. I wouldn't advise washing with regular shampoo because dreads that stay wet grow mold and thats not groovy.

I use booty sweat, if I can't scrape up enough of that I use some b'king soda. Lush has got some good smellin shit. And if you order from em they usually add a few freebie products too.

I use shower gel. Lush Grass shower gel. If you alternate between two different shampoos you're residue probs will be nil. I don't even get the whole residue thing use whatever as long as it doesn't have conditioner in it

T-Gel Is A Very Good *and expensive* Product, Before I Started Dreading

I Did Not Have Dandruff But Got The Occasional Itchy Scalp...:(.

Since I Started Washing With Baking Soda The Itchy Scalp Probs Have

    Completly Gone...:).

I Can't Really Understand Why, *scratches head* Because I Would

Have Thought Baking Soda Would Have Had A Drying Effect And As

Such The Prob Would Have Got Worse...

    Cheers Glen.

Full of conditioners, no? I use to use it pre-dread. Wouldn't put the stuff near 'em now.
