Can anyone help me? I just installed a virtual machine and now I'm trying to get it to run win95 (for an old game). I think I'm supposed to have a boot disk (for win95) so I went and downloaded one from the internet and burned it to a cd.
Now I have the virtual machine up and it tells me to:

Reboot and select proper boot device
or Insert boot media into selected boot device

The disk is in there. I clicked "use physical drive g" (my cd drive) and nothing. Except it reboots sometimes when I press too many buttons. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

What operating system are you trying to do this from?

    There are other options.

    1) DOSbox - x86 emulator
    http://www.dosbox.com/

    2) Compatibility Wizard
Install the game like normal, without Windows 95. Then right-click the program icon on your Desktop or the Start menu. Go to "Properties", click the "Compatibility Tab", and change the "Compatibility Settings". You should be able to execute the game with Windows 95 compatibility.

Ooo been a while since I've used microsoft virtual macine. Follow the wizard and set up the hard drive and memory for the virtual machine let it boot it will hang coz nothing for it to boot off yet, then in the top menu you mount your cd image(iso) and hit reset machine.
