help....moving to FL or AL mobile area in 2 monthes

here my problem ..me+my 11month old baby+ boyfriend are looking to start over in the southern warm weather of FL or AL or MS. new apt ,new job (boyfriend will be a new trucker) and hopefully new friends because we dont know a single person down there . were coming from RI , family and friends will be far away this is our new begining on our own...just our little family....breaking out from the normal routine of life was getting to us so this is were we are at he is graduating trucking school in july and we have to out of our apt. before august. ....now heres the part i need help with what area to live in?????????? we are layed back in our 20's and have a baby so we need a safe neighborhood but were poor and new to the state + we dont like heavily visited tourist areas and we arent spring breakers is there any suggestions anyone can offer ??????? we are the kind of people who would live in a hostil if we could cause the hostils in new orleans were awesome and friendly but know the baby is here were looking for an apt... ......areas? type of town? people? prices????
