Here is the situation. I have the money, the ride, the time, the supplies and the desire. I lack only one thing: parental consent. I am 17, and unless I get the parents approval I won't be able to make it. My parents biggest objection would be all the drug usage and related partying that they know would be going on. I have a friend who told me that his mom would be willing to lie to my parents and say she is coming with us to watch over us, but I can see some ways my parents might figure that out. What can I say/do to get the go-ahead to go to roo'? Suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.:)

I turned 17 about a month ago, but I'd be accompanied by some graduating friends.

    hey man

i know it may sound crazy but hear me out,
tell your parents the sorta truth, that you want to go, with some older friends (helps if some of the people are guys your parents dont hate)
and just as a precaution add in that if your friends mom can get the days off from work that shes going to go to,
if this were my parents a few years back when i was 17 they woulda probably given me some excuse about delaying their answer till you could tell them if your friends mom was definitly going or not.
then just tell them that your friends mom got the days off work and you all already brought your non refundable tickets

    best of luck
