    Hi all!

I have a Singer Model 1120 (very simple machine but it does the trick for a beginer like me) and it never given me any problems until now. I played around with the zig-zag stiches and now it just wont pull the machine with any stiches at all! It's driving me crazy!
I called a repair shop who will give me an estimate when I bring it in but I just really couldnt afford this right now as I'm just switching jobs and don't really know how much I'll be making.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Anything I can do to fix it myself?

Not sure what you mean. It doesn't stitch at all or the fabric won't feed through?

If the fabric won't pull through, maybe the feeddogs are down. They are under where the needle is, little grippy feet. There should be a button somewhere that makes them go up or down.

If it's not sewing at all make sure it's threaded right. Sometimes part of my machine comes unthreaded and I don't know it and it won't sew at all. Check to make sure the bobbin is in correctly. Make sure it isn't too dirty inside. I have to take mine apart often and clean it or it sews so loose all the stitches pull out.

Read your manual carefully, there should be a trouble shooting section.
