Hello, I am Danielle and been through a long discovery into my life through it all. Oldest of 3 sisters. Hung around the bad crowd in my teens and luckily that stopped when I was 17 after my parents taught me tough love. Sent me to a program for troubled teens to see what prison life was like. Was an one on one with a prisoner like me telling me I had a life ahead of me not to be like her. An USMC veteran and this turned my life around heading my life around in the right direction more. Did 10 year years, a fellow soldier in the regiment I was in with raped and sexually assaulted me. Was angry nothing was done about it and went through help dealing with anxiety issues for a year. Married to my husband Paul of 20 years whom did support me through this. We have twins ,a son/daughter whom are 21 now. I work at an auto repair shop fixing cars
My son and daughter do call me a Jarhead, leatherneck and devil dog which I have no problem with. I overcame the rape and sexual assault
Hi, honey, Life does not always run the same way we like, so we must fight and make it the way we like it. This situation is much harder for women than for men, and unfortunately, there is no support for the victims. However, you are a successful guy who has found his way. I wish a happy life for you and your family.

Welcome Danielle, So glad to have you on HF…and happy you have already made some good friends. I hope you know how proud the people who are around you are of you, for what you’ve accomplished!
They are, met my husband during when I was in the USMC and became a better role model for my sisters. My parents say they are proud parents of an USMC veteran calling me on Veteran's day thanking me for my service including from my sisters. A member of the American Legion too and got my son in as a sons of the American Legion member through me this year.
