Hello, I am a student in my final year studying costume in Bournemouth in the UK. I am writing my dissertation on the psychology of dress, specifically film and media’s influence on public perception and attitude towards transgender. I am looking to reach, and discuss with, as wide a range of people as possible about their opinions in order to do justice to this subject. I am bisexual, but not transgender and want to hear from people who can help me to better understand their gender. If anyone has the time and would like to be in touch with personal opinions and/or experiences on the way transgender is portrayed in the media and in cinema and what influence, if any, this has on other members of society I would be really grateful to hear from you. Many thanks x
I'll try to help you. I prefer Blue Denim jeans and tee-shirts to just about anything else. Media has nothing at all to do with my choice, it is simply more comfortable to me. Although when I take my wife out 'On the town' I clean up very nicely. I do not own a 'Suit' but plan to buy one soon. (IF I can locate a decent tailor near my home!) Good luck, and good marks to you.
