Hi, I'm new to this forum. My Mother-in-law is Italian and she and my husband cannot remember what to call the heel of the bread in Italian. He thinks it's something like "tootsel" and she thought it was some word that begins in "c". Does anyone know? It might be a slang-type word.

    THANKS!

Sì, sono abbastanza sicuro che è cantuccio. Il pane italiano della crosta dura è il la cosa migliore.

    Nessun confronto.

this is a regional dialect term from the south :

    " CUZZETTO "

And with this word I think we've completed this topic pretty well...
