Okay, so the first time I did acid I had this feeling in my head of intense pressure. I always assumed it was just part of the high ya know. Gradually as I tripped more the pressure became more and more consistant, but I just kinda of ignored it and kept on with doing shit they way I wanted. Smoking daily kept the pressure on too. About 7 months later, the pressure is now at an extreme discomfort point if I smoke. I barely smoke these days and I'm kinda sad to say that I think it's time to end my tripping and smoking days for good. Anyway, the pressure really doesn't hurt. It's just plain uncomfortable. I'm also now very prone to the rush of goose bump type chills from my spine to my head. But what I'm getting at, has anyone every heard of someone with my situation? I'd just really like to know what exactly is going on in my body. Thanks
Describe the pain on a scale of 1 to 10 describe the type of pain (sharp?) does it come in waves or constant or what, what is temporal presentation where is it located exactly in your head does anything make it worse, does anything help it answer these questions por favor the goosebump chills, are they uncomfortable? weird? i get goosebump chills on many psychedelics, it fits perfectly with the trip and is beautiful and welcome to me
I've gotten the chills when something was cut with some sort of amphetamine. I think it is an adreneline rush.
OP, your situation sounds acutely similar to my own. It doesn't even hurt, it's just simply uncomfortable. You can't even pinpoint what it is about it that's so uncomfortable. It's just a pressure. And then also the chills from your spine up to your head. This is my own take on all of this. Take it or leave it. The chills stem from your chakras opening up. I would look into Kundalini if i were you, and just see if what you read about it seems to resonate with this activity going on in your spine. Do you get a profound perception shift depending on whether the pressure is there or not? For me it's definitely like that and the way that food even tastes changes depending on whether this pressure is there or not. I mean we very well might be going through different things, but for me it's literally one vibrational wavelength pushing against another one, and this clash results in this pressure. This pressure also changes the octaves of which i hear music and the speed at which the music plays. Every sense perception imaginable, even temperature, shifts depending on whether this pressure is present or not. When it's not there, it's because my body and mind have surrendered to it and have allowed its currents to soar through my entire system. The result is extreme ecstasy. When it returns, my body begins to itch and quiver and all sorts of weird shit. I must say it's not a very fun way to live. I mean this happens to me whether i'm tripping or stoned or not. But definitely when i trip or smoke the pressure increases ten fold. If any of this resonates for you i would recommend looking in to meditation or even more importantly, yoga, to help allow this energy to flow through you. The pressure comes from blockages in your body and psyche. Perhaps it's karmic conditioning that hasn't been fully met. This is just my take on all of this though. When i read your post a lightbulb went off in my head. But i also wouldn't be surprised if you're simply going through something different than me.
You might actually be right too. I think I've been stressed for about a year without actually acknowledging it. Just covering it up with a distraction I guess.
We definitely got something similar China Cat. My pressure doesn't have an effect on my perception of anything though. But yeah, it doesn't really hurt and it's not in one specific spot. Just like all around my brain. The only things I've found to make it worse are psyches and weed. MDMA had no effect on the pressure though. The pressure definitely comes in waves. When I wake up I usually have very little or no pressure and at evening or night I have a lot more. I actually had my first nightmare in a decade. In my dream my head was going through pure pain, a 9 or a 10 on the scale. And this pain was in my head and my face, I believe my physical jaw was clenched as fuck and my physical head was going through the same pressure. It was the worst ever it felt like my head was about to burst. I woke up and the pain when way down but my ears were ringing. And the feeling of chills I don't mind too much. They come in when I think up a profound thought or when I'm listening to a really good song. And a friend of mine was going through the same sort of head pressure because she over used 2c's. Her pressure turned painful though, she almost went to the hospital a couple times while tripping. She doesn't trip anymore but her pressure has gone away for the most part, comes in on occassion.
how large were your acid doses? I've gotten the head pressure feeling during one low-dose experience. The peak turned sort of...sexual, then afterwards there was head pressure for maybe a half hour. Not super painful, just a head pressure like my head was a zit that needed popping. I figured the sexual activity over-concentrated the energy flow to the lower chakra regions, one of which is the sexual, which resulted in improper flow and some sort of energy blockage in the higher ones near and in the head. Don't know how that relates to your situation, which sounds like a persistent issue. I'd avoid the psychs and focus on meditation. I'm sort of assuming there's a flow blockage of some kind. In "Grist for the Mill," Ram Dass describes having intense head and neck pressure/pain during a period of frequent dosing. He says it was not a "real" physiological pain, but rather a psychic one. He concluded that he was simply overloading his psychic circuitry with all the dosing and after a break, it went away.
No, forget about that logical bullshit. There's nothing psychosomantic going on. This is purely 5th Dimensional shit you're dealing with... Just trust me.
