I would really like to. I wonder if I could and if we could afford it? I do have a couple of people in the Bay Area that I might be able to stay with. Something to think about.

Why do flower children wear flowers and give flowers?


I'd say that it's, at least partially, because a flower is symbolic of the beauty of each day and each individual.

It is delicate as is life and as is love.

Each flower has an individual beauty, all it's own; yet it is part of a larger family, just as we are.

Flowers know that beauty and life are fleeting and temporary, and they should be celebrated while they have their short lives, just as we all should.

Flowers are also symbolic of the circle of life and rebirth. They are born tiny, they grow, they bloom, they spread their unique seeds, they whither, and they die, to be reborn again; just as we all do.

So flowers are a special message about life and love from the flowers and the Flower Children.
