Cool. Tyrsonswood, what do you think of the coffee concept? It would mean never having to make any coffee when you first wake up. Always there. Others made it before you awoke, and you or I make it before we go to sleep, for others who are going to wake up after we do. You might call it one of the perks! (A really clever but really bad pun.) LOL No! he didn't really say that.
What ever did possess you??? LOL Stillcrazy Now I miss talking with you. My brain was on a night schedule. We did talk. Now my brain is getting up at stupid times in the morning. You where there at first and then gone as I sat down to my computer. Just missed saying hi to you. I think that it's 7 hours dif. roamy, too, time wise. Miss Aerianna too.
Aerianna, Stillcrazy, New new elevator is installed, now. See the very bottom of: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?p=7287434#post7287434 Discuss with every one, what you think. Thoughts. Preferences. Other things.
Kenny, I've come back home now and you're asleep! Hello, whoever is up! I've been out to a hippie green fayre today, it was wonderful, lots of great music and stalls of handmade goods and some yummy cakes and real farmhouse cider. I have bought a purple lace shawl from a woman who spun the yarn on a spinning wheel and knitted it herself. She charged me only for the price of the yarn, but I did tell her that she was undercharging me and ripping herself off. She said that she just loved spinning the yarn and knitting and didn't charge for that. I am a knitter myself, so I appreciate the work that has gone into it. Sometimes I think people are so lovely it almost brings tears to my eyes. The woman who made the shawl and I ended up hugging each other! I've brought back a gallon jug of real Somerset farmhouse cider, so help yourselves. But if you're not used to the strength, be a bit careful!
Hey Hippies! :sunny: I love the elevator! On the matter of coffee - I don't mind making it for others before I retire, but I like mine fresh and will be making mine piping hot from the espresso machine when I drink it. I'm liking my new, new room #14 on the third floor. Gorgeous view!
On the coffee issue, when ever you find the pot ending, just make a fresh one for the others. I like mine fresh too, Aerianne, so I usually grind enough for a few cups and make one or two at a time using a filter and a funnel... Kind of old school that way. I was looking for some more tunes and ended up taking a tangent... I just watched "Wild in the Streets" :coffee: Time
Will do on the coffee making. I have not seen "Wild In The Streets". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkkKStRwokQ"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkkKStRwokQ
Alright. But what if someone heard you waking up as they pasted your room and they where going to the kitchen to do something and they also ground some fresh coffee, et cetera and they gave it to you when you got out of the elevator? Just to be nice to you. What is Tyrsonswood made coffee for Aerianna's morning, and Aerianna made fresh coffe for Tyrsonswood? And it was perfect? Just so you wouldn't have to be bleary eyed. And having to fuss with things. Or would that be not good? Just wondering. What if we had a machine that did it all, starting at the very moment that your foot stepped on a pressure sensing pad on the floor where you stepped out of bed? Grinding and all? Just wondering.
Coffee can be a ritual though... Stepping on a sensor pad in the floor would take the magic out of it.
What if Angels descended from the Heavens with perfect coffee and Were all smiling at you and offering you Pure Love and Pure Coffee? What if God got up early and made coffee for you? And fresh hot pastries of your dreams?.
Don't listen to me. I just don't like stumbling stupidly around the kitchen when my eyes are half closed. Everyone in different. Coffee aside. I was trying to get a conversation going, asking us to list the pluses of doing things in a group. Are there good things. Are there any benefits. What kinds of cost saving? Is it more fun, then not a group? That's all.
Could happen, I guess, but then where's the gratification? I carry water, I chop wood, I till the soil... These are my prayers. (Damn, I miss those days... Ah, such a memory)
I want Ty to make my coffee! It would be blessed for my consumption after his prayerful making of it. The cursing that goes along with me forgetting to put coffee in, or water, or spilling stuff all over 'cause I'm sleepy does take away from the holy experience at times. Bless me Tyrsonswood.
You guys are funny. LOL And I do understand Tyr's point. So, what about the presorted mail? Somebody cooking dinner, and a fellow pot washer and drier? Any other stuff? Shameless_Heifer has friends who can go out into our long backyard and grow food and flowers. And we can do the canning together. Or other perks and fun things.
