Today, Jan. 11, 2006, Dr. Albert Hoffman turned 100. Still alive and going strong. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOCTOR and Thank You
A perfect example that one who uses drugs can become very old... I´m very much looking forward to congratulate him personally on the Basel symposium tomorrow... (btw: his name is spelled Hofmann)
My aunt was reading the paper the other day, and she said that he died before his birthday, but i coulda been high or something...
So far I've seen his name on some deathlist webpage but havent been able to confirm it from other sources ..
If Hoffman died, there would be tribute's and articles all over the net and TV...I haven't heard anything.
wow, you guys praise him for inventing lysergic acid diethylamide but Hoffman is also famous for numerous other discoveries
Albert definitely hasn´t died yet, I saw him yesterday in Basel and he was in pretty good condition! Watch out for my reports from the Symposium during the next days. It was an experience, for which to describe the word "terrific" isn´t enough by far! You guys really missed an epochal gathering! (edited Jan 18th: I must confess, that I´ve maybe promised too much (because of the post-symposium euphoria) - I won´t make it to post everything about the symposium during the next days, it can easily be some weeks... (so much material to work up))
Yep, I´ll post their answers soon. Just give me a little time. There´s so much to post about the symposium, and as well, there´s a lot I have to work up here, because of my absence from my working place (and I´m still a little tired from the whole weekend).
