OK this follows on from the RT Violence Survey thread( legal disclaimer- which was a light-hearted thread).

This week I went to Eastern Europe with work and met some people (probably) known to be of Europe's most slippery nationality( btw not E Eur themselves).

I can't say I trust these people, or rather, atleast one of them. But thats life, and I always think "rather that than a wolf in sheep's clothing". Its nothing I can't handle. I'm used to it.

But how do you deal with people that you feel uncomfortable with?
Do you avoid them? Manage them? Adopt a destructive approach? Or something else?

It's difficult with work colleagues. It's obviously a lot easier if you don't work with them. You can avoid them.
I would try to be honest with them and raise any concerns I had, and they may have with me. If that did not work...

I'd never "need them". Its the fact I can benefit from them needing me. But they're very expendable and replaceable. So I'm thinking "ciao fuckwitto"..

Wolf in sheeps clothing is the phrase we use in England. We're not talking wolves tho, more village idiots, court jesters.

    LOL
Nope, but yes Albania does have its problems.Namely its people.

Albanian issues are as much about their situation as any innate "slipperyness".
They can be bad, but not that bad.

The brand of chumps I met were from Italy. Now much of Italy- Milan, Turin etc is pretty ok people. Mine were from another area, known for incompetent, delusional comedy characters.

I suppose my dilemna is, do I control them(which is easy), or do I just piss take them abit. In reality, I think I'd cut them out, or drop them in a load of shite/ force them out of the business area.

Virtually everyone I work with I get along with, have a laugh etc. Sort of part of being your own boss.

It's all in the way we communicate. For instance, your last post does give me the feeling you aren't a person I'd feel comfortable around and would not trust either. I do not pretend to know you though, which I guess is needed to really trust a person. Otherwise I just give trust, like giving them the benefit of the doubt. How I deal with people that make me uncomfortable all depends on the situation and the grounded reasons I have for that feeling as well. Some people have called me a bit naive in this department but I think I hope to remain so :p

    wow.

1stly the way I wrote my post was really a bit of a jokey emission of the inner ramblings of my mind. Anyone who's seen me would see me as a very polite, diplomatic, easy going type guy. Sometimes reserved but communicative.
I honestly can't see how anyone in RL would think I'm not to be trusted, atleast until they'd betrayed my goodwill.

Its hard to give details, due to the nature of the business, but I'm talking people most of us would think "right, I'm breaking things off with these people".

Don't see how the post makes me a bad person?

So I also didn't know how much the post was ment jokingly. You shouldn't take it too personally, certainly not if you weren't too serious.

There's an old saying="trust your mother, but always cut the cards".

To me it means be vigilant in a continuing way, thereby never letting another person do something that will seriously harm you. Small breaches of trust are easy to deal with. Just brush them away and --lesson learned.

    You are right! Well said!

Its ok I didn't take it personally lol.
Yeah it was jokey, but I do like to prepare for all eventualities.
Sometimes, I know which one is coming.

As an aside, maybe these monkeys will have a chance to slightly redeem themselves. Either way, I gave them sthg to consider.
