    Hey guys n girls
My hairs getting pretty long now, well longer than its been before. Im not sure what is is in inches or centimeters but I can put the fringe in my mouth. It must be the same length all round as I grew it out from a skin-head.
Im wondering how long it will be till I can tie it back, it gets a bit wild sometimes and gets in my eyes?
I was going to wait till I can tie it back till I start to neglect it totally, although dont think it will taks too long to lock as its nearly impossible to comb just now, its all curly and i noticed one knotted bit the other day.
Ive got some dr bronners ordered off the net which should be here this week :)

    I better add the dilema.

My bro is geting married in March, which is why Id like it tied back. Ive heard that if i do let it knot up then it will loose more length, so then it might not be long enough for March?

Everyones hair is different and grows at different rates. It took me about a year and a half to have a decent ponytail and almost three years for the bangs to not fall out of the hair tie.

everyone is different. it depends a lot on how thin your hair is and the way in which it locks up. my hair gets really loopy and has shrunk quite a bit since i started my dreads. there are one or two chunks of hair that aren't dreaded and they reach pretty far down my back now.

if you can't pull them back into a single ponytaile, i'm sure you could find or fashion some sort of headgear that would look conservative enough to make you feel comfortable. there are plenty of people here who make custom headwear!

Ah your from scotland, if you go into claires accessories (only place i can think that sells them) and just get a plain black headband and push it back, then you can tie the ones that are long enough and the ones that aren't will be under the band. It's what i did for job interviews, looks much tidier!

Hey thanks for the replies guys!
I'll just have to wait and see how long it is in March i guess. I was thinking since I was wearing a kilt to the wedding to get a tam o shanter! Im not bothered about looking scruffy for me, it just for other folks photos, im looking a bit like a wild man o the mountains just now :)
