I haven't brushed my hair for 9 weeks and my hair is half dreading from the bottom up, but the locks are flattened from sleeping on them.

I can't wear a tam in bed, it just slips off/feels uncomfortable. Any suggestions how to get my sections more rounded? I tried to gently palm roll a bit when my hair was dry - didn't help at all.

i have the same problem, i find a bandana works quite well if you tie it right, I just try and "squash" them back into a round shape when i wake up in the morning takes about ten mins but it works for me, then again i only have them two weeks so im not sure how helpful it will be too you

1 theres nothing wrong with flat dreads
2 try flipping them up, out from under you
3 palm rollings a waste, but it can round em..best when done wet or damp, dry wont do much at all
4 years from now u will love the flat funky ones more thenthe round boring ones let em do theyre thing
5 most that go flat go roundf again on theyre own
if they are new, they are fluffy not well formed not tight, easily flattened, 1 night with them slightly twisted 1/4 turn will round em out
but they will go flat round square triangle trapazoid over and over till theyre tight and settled in

on e day u will fgind the most happiness in the ones u now find the most trouble
the ones that come out "perfect" will be boring as hell ..just there, ya wont pay any attention to em instead you;ll love the beavertail forked one or the completely crazy ones the most.

ignore it and love it is the best option
