   So I can buy one of these San Pedro cacti at a nursery, and just let it grow in my window? How long do I need to let it grow for?

   yes san pedro is easily available and not hard to grow. As far as how long you should let it grow is entirely up to you and how patient you are. I have 5 and 2 are around 3 years old
