Hey there, I"m a noob to these forums. Ive recently moved house and my new grow space is getting a bit too warm, so thought i might do some research into changing to led grow lights. Can anyone share some advice, on set up techniques, places to buy led grow lamps, what lamps are best and just general information on leds. Any info will be much appreciated! :sunny:
In one name or another led girl is a fake and is all over the net if you look. Once you dial your set up in led are ok for veg but for blooming the general net view is not as good as hids and judging by the led journeys that vanish mid bloom would back that up. Good led's are cree bridgelux phillips edison.
Yeah I'd have to agree with you about led girl. Found her thread and wondered why she had a link for a site that sells led lights at the bottom of her post. Then i think she mentions that's that "her friend" accidentally harvested a week and a half early! Maybe that explains why her yield was so average. Even the pics of the single buds on the scales weren't very big. Though that strawberry did like quite impressive.
I think she's a guy running a drug ring off his girl friends med card. I cant remember all the names now but when I researched led lighting ledgirl was everywhere and was using bogus accounts to praise her lights and yields up. But like said if you look around for blooming you cant beat hids at the moment in time.
Does a combination of both work, as I've got 2 x 600w mh(i think) but it keeps over 30 degrees Celsius even with huge air flow. which in turn lowers yeild anyway. I wonder if dropping one of the 600's and adding a bunch of led's would be the way to do it?
From what i've seen in bloom ppl start of with led but come mid bloom work out there not good and add hids or cfl's. If temps are a problem what about a digital hids with an air cooler reflector?
Welcome to the forum N8O, in order to help we need to know how big is yer space? 1 600w mh is good for vegging but not flower cycle. If ya have switchable ballasts then you can switch bulbs to 600w HPS for flower cycle.
