What effect does altitude play in growing at sea level versus 5000 feet above sea level on the same strain? Do certain strains thrive at low or high altitude levels? Does altitude effect clones or seeds differently? Inside/Outside? This is my first post, so be kind! Thanks
Depends on who you ask. Some think that pot grown at high altitudes contains more THC, some don't. After hashing out such issues over 10 years of posting, doesn't matter to me if it does or doesn't as it's all relative - just smoke a little more if not satisfied. Not that a 10% increase/decrease in THC levels is gonna be perceptible in the first place.
NAMASTE I have herd wild things to about more thc levals but not enough to see a change realy.Though most strains now days are breed to grow in many climates there are some more indica dom strains that perform say in a colder and higher climate than uposed to a lower one.But most do well anywere.
Higher altitudes have more intense ultraviolet light and in conjunction with arid conditions which are prevelant to higher altitudes have in some cases proven to facilitate a higher production of thc.Once again you must relize that increased thc does not neccesarily mean increased potency as that falls on the relationship of cbd, cbn, and cbc acids at time of harvest.
The same seed was grown in the Santa Marta mountains of Columbia and the coastal region. The mountains produced significantly better weed. Higher UV and UVb is a significant factor.
NAMASTE Hey there little brother.Means i honor the light that is in you and all life.Thats the short version.Try google for the full. Not sure how that has anything todo with the thread but thanks for asking.
