Hello, what is the best proven way to produce ground almonds without a grinder or a mill? I have the usual tools available: screwdriver, hammer, chainsaw etc. Regards Gyro
Hello, I tried it with a (now empty) bottle of red wine and two layers of foil. Didn't work very well. Regards Gyro
Hello, uhm, Canadians . Regards Gyro PS: How do you call this little buggers after their happy journey through a grinder?
Do you have a food processor? That's what works for me. I don't know if that's what you meant by grinder or mill. When they get ground up, I would call it almond meal. It's sold at stores, but can easily be made.
Hello, no food processor either, that's the problem . A grinder, as in coffee grinder, looks like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/98/Kaffeemuehle_Tripsdrill.jpg II might be totally wrong, but I think the difference is that a food processor works with rotating knives while a grinder works with some kind of roles. Anyways, both approaches do a better job than the red wine bottle . Regards Gyro
