Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew how to make them?

Couldn't agree with you more Gypzy. i just recently had a b-day and a friend made one for me. it's one of the double arrowheads done in 4 different shades of green. i'm very happy to wear it. homemade things are always more special....you know someone really took time and put a lot of thought into making you feel special. :D

I know how to make them .there are many different kinds.

You can machrame (sp?) them (like with hemp) or you can make long thin tubes with a spiral of knotts which goes right the way along, i know these as mermaid beads, or you can do the flat ones which are wide and flat.

The tube like one you just get about six threads (3 extra long threads folded over) tie a knott just unter the loop of where you folded them to make the loop for the attatching if you want a loopy attatchment.

Them you get one of the threads and wrap it wound all the other threads in a knott. so you loop it round then tuck it through its own loop so it becomes a knopt on one side of the threads... now if you keep doing it over and over you will notice a spiral of littleknots :) you can change thread at any time making different colours.

The flat ones again you start it with the loopy bit and make sure your threads are about 5 times longer than the final length (at a guess) then you lay them out so all the threads are next to each other.

Take the first thread and knot it round the second one, then the third one and work it all the way along until its the last thread... then to the thread thats now at the begining etc etc.

    hope thats makes sence :S
