Well hello everyone! So glad I found all of you...I hail from the beautiful Garden State (fastly in decline I might add) and surround myself with beautiful horses and other creatures. I study all things herbal, historical and organic. My free time is spent outdoors as much as possible, enjoying what nature has to offer or creating my own remedies, potions and recipes.
I am near Hackettstown. Greetings to all likeminded folks. Peace, love and happiness. Nice to see younger generation here!
Warren County...North West New Jersey. I am about a 20 minute drive to the Delaware Water Gap (going west) and a 50 minute drive (without traffic) to NYC.
Thank you all for the warm welcome!!! Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful winter weather (better if it were snowing, but that is just my opinion) Local people, please let me know if you have found good shops, food markets or just nice places to hang out in the area...I am always looking!
I do...it's AutumnEpona...I have not been on AIM in a long time though, but you might catch me here and there. I think I also have that gmail chat, but I have not explored it yet.
I LOVE hiking and/or trail riding with my horses (and dogs, of course) We have alot of great places to go in Warren and Sussex County, plus the Gap has some amazing trails.
Cool I like hiking too, I am supposed to be going the first weekend of January, and I havent done so in a few years so I am really excited.
Oh how exciting! Where are you going? You are brave if you are going around here in January! We are planning a trip to Vermont in March to do some skiing and hiking, so I am looking forward to that. You should get out and do some mini hikes to get yourself ready...esp. if it is going to be in cold weather.
Probably just PA, possibly some NY Im not sure yet. But I love winter hikes! Actually I like them better than summer
If it stays dry this weekend I am going to try to head up to Bethel, NY for a daytrip. Try to get out of the same old areas. It is only about an hour and a half from where I live and there are some cool places to stop.
