Hello! My name's Val; I'm 21 years old and new to the website and forums. I'm an American citizen by birth (from Florida) and have spent the past year in the UK at the University of Leeds getting an MA in medieval history. Right now I'm in Florence and pretty soon I'll be going to China to teach English... so basically I'm all over the damn place! *grin* On a less business-type note, I was in the goth scene until about a year ago, but have since changed boyfriends, taken my fair share of drugs, practised yoga regularly, and basically really mellowed out. Now the happy hippy that was always inside me is starting to come into full bloom ^_^ I've even been known to wear bright colours! I ate a vegetarian diet for several years and have fallen out of the habit over the past year. I'd like to start again, so you'll probably see me hanging around at the vegetarian forum.
