Well, after seriuos thought as to go with organic or not i have decided to go with not.Purelly selfish really, but i have alot of the stuff from my last grow so was too easy to stick to what you know.
Seeds arrived yesterday from "le doc chronic" a supurb transaction 10 feminised great white shark.Put in to germ straight away in wet paper towel and noticed after got home from work a few already cracked,so looking good so far.
Going in the loft this time with a 250w mh phillips for veg with ionic formulex and then got a 600w hps for flower.
Already got natural ventilation so going to use a standard 12" oscillating fan to get a breeze with additional extractor to keep fresh air coming in.
Will post pics of set up and plants as soon as i get a sprout.
    Stay tuned and peace out!!!!

Well time for a quick update,

5 days since i put the seeds in to germinate, all cracked with a good root in under 2 days.popped them all in those teabag thingys that you soak in water and swell up and placed in 3" rock wool blocks.
They are all(6) in a nft system with individual drip feed to each one.No nutes at the mo,will wait a few more days then start on a diluted formulex solution.
All seedlings are already 2 to 4 inches tall, but i cant understand why they are already getting so leggy.I've had to support them with skewers becuase one is bending right over.I've got the 250w mh about 12-16 inches above with a 12" oscillating fan one end and a 16" the other, any advice on this would be very grateful.

will post pictures soon to give you guys more of an idea of the set up.when its time to flower they will be moving into a homemade nft setup each taking 3 plants with a 600w hps.

also not sure weither to top these girls or not,i did my last grow, but i dont want these getting too bushy as to not make most use of the light.

any input would be most appreciated

    well a quick update,

gave them there first taste of formulex yesterday and so far so good, just a weak mix but enough for them to get a taste of things to come.

hopefully will be able to attach some picks, you should be able to see the stretch i spoke of before.

bought some clay pebbles to try for 3 plants and gonna go with a 50/50 vermeculite / perlite mix for the other 3 to see which will give the best results, they will all be going in 4ltr pots in about 3 weeks then flower straight away.i dont want them being too big and too hard to handle.

ok...... some help is needed to get the picks up........
as soon as someone can tell me how to attach pictures i will lol.....

thanks for the comments guys, really cant make out why they are stretching though, normally cuase they stretch for the light, its quite close.

i thought i might put them in there pots a little earlier than i had previously planned so i can bury the rock wool root ball in the clay pepples, hopefully making the plant a bit more stable.

Will take a few more pics in a couple of days and give an update, they have changed so much since yesterday(when i took the pics) already.

also, where are you guys uploading your pics too b4 inserting them on posts.

    cheers for now

well up sorting out the grow today and thought i would post some new pics of the new setup.
transfered all the seedlings into 4ltr pots, 3 with hydroleca clay pebbles the other 3 with 50/50 perlite and vermiculite, so we shall see if there is any difference in the results.

hydroleca, really like the look of this stuff
    [IMG]
    vermiculite/perlite half and half
    [IMG]
    three of each
    [IMG]
and the set up new tank holds silly amount of water, so hopefully wont have to top up so often

well changed over to my 600w hps to try to stop the stretch,i figure 600w hps has to have more blue spectrum than the 250 mh.gave em a healthy dose of ionic grow,ec and ph meters came the other day so got the ec at 1.7 and ph bang on 7 i know should be more like 6 but hey ,its neutral.also have now put some reflective sheeting down the sides to help with light.
checked em today to find my pump and fans never came on this morning and they may have got a bit toasted, but topped em anyway, all bar 1,shes abit small, all on there 4 set true leaves and between 8" and 12" tall.
i will post new pics tomorrow.

and also the last pics i posted,my first ones dissapeared? anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Hey man, awesome setup. Their gonna just soak up the light from that 600watter, and you're gonna notice a huge difference. That should be the end of your stretching problems right there, and their really not that bad at all they looks great to me. can't wait to see those get bigger, seeing as how our grows were started at about the same time, I wanna see how much yeild you're gonna get with that 600 over my 400, cuz your def. gonna yeild better.

well the lst is going great, thnx for the info on that lune, the side shoots are really goin for it now,but it appears i have a magnesium defficiency, but from research i gather a can easily sort this with some epsom salts.has anyone else had this problem?some tips on how much to use would be much apreciated.

ill post some pics soon, hopefully when they are abit healthier

well finally took the time to take some pictures, well i honestly cant take credit for these,my camera but my bro took them, hes the photographer in the family.
i cant get over how much growth there has been in the last few days, the epsom salts have certainly done the trick, apparently if there is not enough magnesium in the nutes it blocks out alot of others, but im no expert, gotta check these out.

    my little sea of green..........

and my favorite,th root shot macro style..........

its almost like my diy setup is acting as a bubbler, this was never the intention, but is an added bonus.the plants seem happy so it cant be too bad.
feel free to comment, good or bad.
