On the news this morning I watched a segment about grapefruit juice (and other juices too), and it's effects on drugs. They said "Grapefruit juice causes a spike in the effects of some drugs, to near-fatal levels." I guess it's officially confirmed. However, they also have adverse effects on other drugs, they tried it with some sort of anti-allergenic drug and it reduced it's effects to the point where the drug basically didn't do anything.
so ya think next time ya see a bottle of hydros or percs.. or any opie for that matter... there will now be a warning sticker saying do not take with grapefruit juice?
As I understand it, the openly gay reporter was quoting a homophobic source who was actually referring to grapes. Grapes WILL increase the effects of many psychoactive drugs (up to and including banana skins), but you have to plug about eighty or ninety of the suckers. I firmly advise against it. Yeah actually a lot of pharmacies already use them (according to the article) but I haven't really seen one yet.
Grapes weren't mentioned in the article, nobody was a fuckin' homo, and why the fuck would you stick grapes up your ass instead of eating a grapefruit if you're trying to get fucked up.
HAHA The same reason people shove hole pills up there ass.. Lol I'm gonna shove some hole pills with a grape fruit up my ass and get really fucked up.. For all you guys doing this you need to crush the pill, mix in water then plug it.. OH ya and the grape fruit you need to drink the juice not shove it up your ass LOL LOL
*burrrrp* Swallow them down with a beer *burrrrp*. The partial pressure of the C02 from said beverage will increase the alkaloid absorption from the intestine. *burp* *fart* sorry for the fart, guys.:cheers2:
When I get my Valium script there's always a sticker on the bottle advising not to take with grapefruit juice. I asked the pharmacist (not that they are ever much help) and she said that the Valium doesn't work as well when combined with grapefruit juice.
hahaha this is why opiate users have been using grapefruit and pineapple juice to potentiate poppy seed or pod tea. it probably has to do with the acid content and lime juice or lemon juice should do the same thing. also it lowers your blood sugar as does vinegar (also an acid) so this may be why it makes you feel higher or you can od.
It has nothing to do with any of that. It's because of enzymes. Grapefruit juice inhibits an enzyme in the liver, causing other drugs to get a boost.
well i do notice (i am diabetic) that when i do poppy pods that my blood sugar goes way down.... and also lemon or lime juice makes my blood sugar low too.... enzymes probably has something to do with making your blood sugar lower too btw - when i am tapering off poppy pods my blood sugar gets really high
Well... I've looked around but i can't seem to find how much GF Juice to take and if before, with or after taking the pills. anybody?
