google's desktop search: good or bad?

I'm swaying toward bad. I don't think I would feel comfortable having a friend use my computer to check email or whatever if I had this installed. Is this something you would find useful, scary, or both? Would you install it?

Definetily no to the install, but as far, as I know it needs XP or W2000, it wouldn't run at all on my Debian-Linux.

Users should consider changing their habits. Because Google creates a record of everything that a person touches on the desktop, users will need to be aware of that when they are conducting sensitive activities. E-mails, Web sites visited, chat transcripts--all of these items become discoverable objects within the index.
