Personally I love trance techno shit it's some of the best. also once when i was high (lets be specific, weed) my friend got out his electric guitar and started playin all these solos that was pretty cool, but off topic. anyway, good music, point me in the right direction.

Techno is great, but since no one else mentioned it, I'm gonna say symphonies. I can't get enough of that shit when I'm spun out.

if you want my personal opinion (and most people call me crazy for this) but no matter what im on (acid,E,shrooms,sober.....anything) techno fucking sucks on acid i like things like pink floyd, the beatles, led zeppling those are some of my personal favs. but i really think its whatever u feel like listening to. whatever ur in the mood for the notes to the song are just gonna sound perfect man. have a fun trip and i hope i helped

I know what you mean, crazy drummer. I love techno most of the time, but when I used it building up to the peak, it just hurt my head and made me focus on my heartbeat, which I don't like doing. As far as music on acid goes, I've only had one experience...but the only music that was good up to and during the peak, was percussionless sustained notes, i.e. ambient or minimalism. After the peak, techno was great as well as jazz, metal, anything really. My peak went well so any music seemed to be fitting afterwards.

Here is a snippet of my extensive tripping playlist.

    Pink Floyd - Sorrow
Pink Floyd - Yet Another Movie
    Puscifer - Sour Grapes
    Puscifer - Momma Sed
    Cirrus - Boomerang
    Soman - DATC
    Infected Mushroom - Heavyweight
    Tool - Lateralus
    Tool - 10,000 Days
    Tool - No Quarter
    Tool - H
Nine Inch Nails - The Great Destroyer
Nine Inch Nails - The Great Below
God Lives Underwater - Medicated To The One I Love (If you can find the long version including the hidden track I recommend checking it out. Put on the song and just sit back and let it play all the way through the silence and into the hidden track. It blew my mind.)

Just a few songs that can get very interesting or just plain feel good to listen to while tripping.

    West Indian Girl

One of the greatest acid bands I've ever heard. Hard to find though.

I would personally recommend Grateful Dead - Anthem to the Sun(any GD is INCREDIBLE!), The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds, The Beatles - White Album, The Flaming Lips - Yoshime battles the pink robots. Each of these albums is targeted for the psychedelic experience. Each one includes especially trippy songs with lots and lots of stuff going on. I like these songs because I feel like it helps the visuals when the music has many parts to it (all kinds of percussion, Background singers, Strange instruments, Sounds, Effects). To me it's some of the best trippin music i've ever heard but when it comes down to it, it all depends on preference. Happy Trippin ;)

I'm glad some others are digging Battles. Of all the people I've shown them to (outside of this thread), only one person has liked them. I think they rule!

Do you have a problem with the Black Metal material? I'd love to hear En Ring Til Aa Herske of Det Som Engang Var (the song) on acid. Maybe not if I was tripping hard though.
