Gonna make a jerry garcia robot

Jerry Garcia is dead for good. There's nothing changing that. But after I get done with my physics degree I'm gonna go build me a robot that can play guitar... not too hard... then program it to play like jerry garcia... if I assemble a database based on all of jerry garcia's guitar work... the superior artificial intelligence theory of the time when I'll be doing this 6 years + will be such that I'll be able to program it to learn from all of it and be able to jam with the other musicians.

Then they will finally be able to tour as the grateful dead again.

 

haha, i like the idea. but no man made machine could ever play like jerry. you may be able to program it to play a track like a midi keyboard will replay a song. but the heart and soul that is jerry could never be broken down into a series of "On" and "off", a world of one and zeros.....
