Going To Take A Chance...

Ok, so as many of you might have read I've been dry for far too long. Well yesterday this guy e-mailed me about the sirius stratus radio and boombox asking if I would be interested in some "420" as he put it. I said yes and I will be meeting him Sunday. Does this sound like it's worth the risk? I mean he had to take a chance by even mentioning the stuff to me, so am I pretty safe here? What do you all think? Thanks.

but yeah, buying weed from strangers isnt a great idea. i guess if you check the satchel out and it looks good theres no harm done though, just be careful.

Yea dude, it was prolly an undercover, a person who wants to rob you, or someone playing a joke and isn't ever gonna show. I wouldn't ever do what you are planning on doing.

 

If u do go to meet him bring sum friends, from past experince of getting rolled by fuking cunts trying to deal weed, if u got sum big buddies take them with u.

well I doubt it's an undercover because how many cops are going to waste their time going through thousands of ads just to find one person willing to trade for weed. As for him being someone trying to jack me there are two problems with that... 1 the exchange will be made in daylight in a semi public place. and 2 i'll be carrying my piece. I am leery, and I appreciate all the comments. I'm still not 100% decided yet on wether to do it or not. Thanks.

 

my vote is do it buddy. the reality is, most cops are concerned more with busting dealers, than some adult with ZERO connections trying to score a couple of grams, especially in a state with as many users as minnesota.

I personally wouldn't carry a piece, I'd wait to get to my car to smoke it.

That's what I assumed he meant too, but since I believe guns are awful, I thought i'd take it another way especially meeting a guy to buy a small amount.. If you're running kilos of blow, ok I could maybe see a gun, but to be honet I'd probably shoot myself on accident.

it depends on what was said in the emails. if nothing illegal was explicitly said, i would bring friends, do it in a fairly open place, and all this after seriously scoping out the meeting place first, before even approaching the guy. i'd be too curious to just not show up though

@ theshow: I was an armored car driver/ courier so I know how to handle my gun =). I own a .357 smith & wesson. It's a nice and powerful revolver. It'll probably stay in the car with my wife if it looks safe after i scope the area out. While I'd much rather not bring it, in the world we live in I can't justify not taking it with.

I agree the whole thing sounds weird, that's why I wanted all your opinions. The thing is I just don't see a cop going on to craigslist and answering a post with "trade ya for some 420" when I didn't even ask for it in my list of what I wanted. As for a ripping me off... well that's why i'm gonna be very careful... check out the area, and bring some protection. I'm desperate to get hooked up, and since (as I've said before) I'm too shy to go up to any tom dick and harry on the street this is the only option that has presented itself. Wish me luck, and I will report back to you after to let ya know how it goes. If any of you are interested that is.

Agree, strangers are risky. And i'd bet it was the cops anyway.

 

The best thing to do is ask him what kind of car he will be in and tell HIM where to meet you. Then scout the area before the deal goes down and check for anything that looks suspicious(especially the guy himself). He won't know what you'll look like, what type of car you'll be driving, etc.

It sounds like a lot of work just to make a sale, but if you're really afraid then just scout the area. Bringing friends wouldn't be a bad idea.

EDIT: What you described in the transaction could be considered entrapment in many states. So, it sounds like it would probably be someone legit or someone trying to rob your shit.
