going from artifical light to natrual

I am growing some plant, and I have them under a 2 foot floro fixture. But I dont have A MPS or any other high output light system. The question I want to ask is, if I have them under lights,and once the get to the point where the light isnt enough for them, can I put them In direct sunlight. Like A window seal or something like that.

Now I've done this right, and I've done it wrong. If your past mid-summers day they can go outside if from a vegging stage. I've put 5ft budding plants outside taht have lost weight and yield as it was too soon after mid-summers. If you've only got small buds or none at all I'd go for it. Anything with buds bigger than a thumbnail and you've got a hard call. This is all dependant on climate and night temps/location of course.
