Goddamn popups!

Been plagued with popups lately. Most of them have http://xadsj.offeroptimizer for an url. I already have PopUpCop, CW Shredder, Spybot and AdAware, plus McAfee Virus Scan, but the damn popups still get through. Any suggestions?

 

make sure those programs are updated with the latest definitions, and run em again?

 

Man spyware is such a ****... theres always something that slips by...
You should check out microsoft anti-spy beta... yes, ms is evil, but their spyware thing is the best ive found yet... its got many more options and seems to track more spyware.... its updated a lot too cuz its all MSed out... when ms makes something, its gotta be the best... (or buggy and shitty like windows)

I've found webroot spysweeper to be very nice, but you'll have to pay or pirate.

 

Why do people even bother with IE ?

 

I certainly don't anymore. Firefox is the way to go

download and run ad-aware to kill the kooties, then dump IE asap and use firefox....pop-ups, spyware, bad shit will be a thing of the past
