i love mine too. we're so laid back and yet really spirited. it's the perfect balance. of course, i don't have any other schools to compare it to, but i think it's pretty good.

yeh and the schoolers love you too if ya pay your tuition, otherwise they don't love ya no more

 

I kinda gave up all hope on even going to my HS this week. I've just been going to a college for a morning class.

I can't to get out of my school and go to cégep

But I feel, for the first time since i'm in highschool, that I've got some good friends.
So , i guess i'll miss them next year though

 

antoine, i dont get it. explain cegep to me again. i know you told me before, but i've killed some brain cells since then.

 

1. school is not for fools. i'm not even gonna argue that one..
2. i go to LSMSA..the louisiana school for math science and the arts. it's a residential high school and we all stay in dorms. there are only about 400 kids here..though it seems wayyy less than that.. www.lsmsa.edu
3. its amazing cos i feel really close to everyone and whatnot.
I think I posted this thread yesterday when I was finishing my paper in the SAC(the scrot as we so affectionately call it. the Student Activities Center) for Dr. Art, my english teacher on an argument analysis...Then I went to the computer lab to print it and signed my name on this piece of paper and gave it to a girl in my class, and that class was over 3 minutes before it started.



And I love the dorm announcements. Beeeeep "Hey, ladies..There's a volleyball game in the gym at 7 tonight. and umm..we gotsta watch our mouths..It's a very.....conservative school.."

The SLAs..there is one for each hall. Caddo, the girls dorm, has 6 halls. 1st, 2nd and 3rd west and east. I live on 2nd west. My SLA is ashantia and shes amazing. we're supposed to have room inspection every week to make sure it's clean, but she NEVER does it. she's a college student and she doesn't like it here, but its all good cos she just is lazy and lets us do whateva. Plus she's told me 'puff puff passss' several times

The guys have this one sla, Prem. He's from nepal and he's amazing. ahah...he does this thing on sundays called spirituality with prem..its great. and he's always got these funny metaphors and stuff....one time he's watering the pllants, asks us if we consider ourselves plants of the earth..we say yes and he sprinkles the water on us..lol
i wanna live in the boys dorm, prudhomme, cos theres the backyard where you can hang out but theres nowhere to hang out in caddo except the lobby. pfft. behind prudhomme, theres these bleachers for the NSU baseball field (concrete, not just metal) and they're down low so noone can see ya really if you're hangin out or fffuuuccckeed upppp..
and also, prem's announcements are funny as hell. one weekend he came to work in the caddo office and you hear Beeeep "something something something, if anyone would like to go bowling tonight at 6, come down, sign up is in the office at 5:30 something something, something, and mr. paul is one of the nicest pilots of the ground aeroplane" it's so funny because he has this accent and a big deep voice. man i gtta get yall some pictures
(the ground aeroplane as he called it is our short bus. ahaha)

Next year hopefully, i'll get in a Histoire et Civilisation pre-university program and move out

A cégep means College of General and Vocationnal Studies..
After the fifth and last year of high school, you can enrol in a cégep. In cégep, you may either choose a 3 year technical program( nursing,paramedic,industrial technician, social work etc) . Usually, you may go to university after a technical program but not always and its gotta be in the field corresponding to your diploma.

The pre-university programs last two years and they are more general. You've gotta go to university after if you want to have a diploma.
