Getting a X-Box 360

Well gamestop said the pro system is $330. Im trying to get an xbox 360 and gta4.

They also said that a used/refurbished one costs only $250 with no harddrive.

I was wondering if i should get a used xbox or just get a the brand new one fresh out the box for $330

OP: I got a refurb and it worked fine. Most reputable dealers will only sell refurbs that work 100% Plus if you dont buy a new console you can save some money and buy more games. GTA IV is insane, its sooo fun. CoD 4 is really badass I suggest getting that as well along with an XBL subscription.

ive known ppl who spend hundreds a month on games meanwhile letting the electric get shut off letting theyre gf go weeeks wiothout food..basicly fuckin games were more important then important things and 330 is more then some ppl pay for rent

maybe today 330 is 2 months food bill but in a month or 2 it could be a weeks food bill...

not everyone in the world is below the economic standards... i too own an xbox 360.. i pay rent.. i pay cell phone bills.. i pay for food.. pot.. goin out.. musical events.. travel.. fishing... eating out and still live without worrying about money

 

To answer the thread get a new one. Old ones may be from the first few batches which had weak solder. Then you get the ring of death. Just get a new one, if your going to invest that much go all the way.

And to people insulting others for buying game systems...
Game are a new form of media under much attack. Do you insult people for buying books or cd? Why would you for games? Sure, they may be more expensive but they also have alot more technology put into them. They may be isolated incident's where peopel put them before other needs but the same can be true for anything else, from weed to books. Dont tear down what others like, theres no reason to.

 

Do you have a job? its not hard to save up that much money and if he is hard working and can manage to pay for it himself god bless him he has the right to do what ever he wants without you persecuting him. thanks man. yea im 17 and i have a job, and i actually i only saved 200, my mother put the other 200 in the bank for a car, but i used all of it to buy the 360. She said she would just buy the car if i jsut graduate high school. SO i was like ok lol.

I bought the new one. Yes its pretty awesome, and im pretty blown away by the intense realism of gta4, its nothing like the other gta's as far as physics.

But I really like the 360, its almost like a computer console thingy, saving to hard drives, memory, etc.

 

nah its more like 400 for the game if you add the console plus game. i bought a 360 just for that game and it is worth it. im broke now but happy i hope they dont make a Vice City 2, it would be insane if they made a San Andreas 2 or something similar. Yall should look up Prototype it reminds me of GTA3 how it was just over the top awesome. It takes place in a realistic NY, its like gta except your a superhero minus the hero part it is total mayhem, i cant wait until that comes out but gta4 will keep me hella busy. i dont know why im on here i should go play gta4.
