hey i read up a lot about this rainbow family and i LOVE IT!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! wow it's amazing!!! i was wondering if there are many gatherings in canada? how about in british columbia or alberta? I LOVE THE RAINBOW FAMILY hahaha i got a belly button!
there is alot of family in BC, There is a canadian gathering in manitoba June 10-July 10 I am planning on going to this and then head down to colorado from there. There is a big difference between canadian gatherings and american. Many great people at both, and both amazing experiences, but there is more resistance from authorities in US therfore more hassle. There is also an "A" camp which I have never seen at a canadian gathering. "A" Camp is and area you useually have to go through before you get to the core gathering that is filled with drunks(since drinking is frowned upon at most gatherings, they form their own little gathering outside the gathering) There are a lot of smaller gatherings in bc(I'm not sure exactly where or when) and one in quebec every august(Quebec family rocks!!!) You can find most the info on the Quebec gathering at this site... Kwebekwecaravan I usually translate the messages with babel fish. I will warn you though, when Quebecors are writing to one another, the software which is made for the French language, does not recognize alot of things. It will appear patchy at times, and I can only think it is because of Quebec French having different slang. My wife translates better...lol. Also, if you are going to make a post... do it in English instead of tring to use transltion software. It will get answered and responses will be better. I wish more people would post there.... then other English speaking members might start posting more and having conversations! I do know the gathering will be directly north of us... somewhere on the Gaspe Peninsula. Most likely the whole month of August. We wll be going. Anyone coming though our way... be sure to give us a shout... especially any American brothers and sisters that might be coming up on the east coast through Maine! You would definitely have a place to take a rest along the way It is also the 20th Anniversary of the Quebec gatherings (I think) so it will be fun! As for inquiring about BC... you should maybe give Flying Heartsong a look see. Luke is the "focalizer" for the group. Alberta... THIS has been floating around for years. So it shows that some kind person was attempting something. Maybe it needs some new tender love and care and a little help to get it going for the summer. The Prarie family's link as posted above. I'm going to try to go to the quebec gathering probably won't make it until the last week.It will be my daughters 2nd quebec gathering also. My sons 1st(outside my body,I was preg at the turtle island gathering). CANT WAIT FOR SUMMER!!!!
well... good to hear that you might come. We guessed that it was going to be the entire month of august, and she had to put in for vacation. She guessed the middle of the month would be good. She will be coming out around the tenth or so. Me and our son will probally be there for a good 3 weeks at least We are going to come up for 2 weeks before her. My honey will be about 5 months preggers around that time I have been cooped up in this town for too long and can't wait to get away for a bit! Az
