Has anyone read Neil Gaiman's The Sandman comics? They're macabre, disturbing masterpieces, and anyone who likes a good story should read them, as well as Mr. Gaiman's other works. Tell me if you thought Sandman was super-freaky, like I did.
LOVE it! I haven't read them for a long while (probably getting on for about six years) so I think this may be the sign that I should get back to them!! Love Despair - she has no odour, but her shadow smells musky and pungent...fabulous! And the embodiment of Desire! Want to read now!!
My little sister, who is 6, found my copy of A Game of You (you know that really gnarly one where Thessaly cuts that dude's face off and stuff) and she showed it to my mom; you know, "What's that, Mom?" I got a subsequent verbal ass-whup from my parents for leaving it within reach of the tinies. My favorite volume is probably either Doll's House or the Kindly Ones, although it really sucked when Fiddler's Green died in tKO. Man! I'm just obsessive! My favorite characters are Dream, Fiddler's Green, the Corinthian, and Delirium. I wanna meet Dream someday.
I love the Sandman books. I think I've read them all, there may be one or two I haven't read yet. I really love Gaiman's work, he has got to be my favourite author. I just got a handmade, hand-written copy of Snow, Glass, Apples, signed by Neil Gaiman! I'm so happy!
