a few of the shows are up on archive.org already. yea!!! http://www.archive.org/details/furthur2010-06-25.dpa.4023.flac16 here comes sunshine!
they sounded pretty damn good. like i've said before, i'm not much of a fan of the GD, but i don't dislike them either. i didn't pay the $40 required to enter the fenced in area. i was with a bunch of strangers (i came alone on my bike right after lab) standing outside the fence. tons of people were jumping over, getting caught by security, and the fence ended up getting knocked down and about 30 ran in for free. i stayed put. i saw someone get a bag of molly and everyone scarf it down within the first 15 mins of showing up. i asked to hit their bowl of weed, and they obliged. another group of dudes to my left offered me a beer. it was a pretty good time. they played time by pink floyd which was my favorite song. also played stawberry fields
i have not got to see furthur yet, and unless they come within 6 or so hours from here i doubt it will happen. i have gotten to see billy and papa mali twice this year... archive is not working for me atm, but im pretty sure it has the two shows i saw by them (4/20 at the flytrap ballroom in tulsa, and 6/3 at wakarusa). i strongly recommend seein 7 walkers, my favorite post dead carniation besides ratdog that i have seen.
they played for a good 4 hours on 6/25 in rochester. maybe not quite - they took a half hour or so intermission. but still, it was basically 2, 1 hour and 45 minute long jams
I really wish they still had Jay Lane with them. Certain songs are lacking the presence that they once had with the two drummers/percussionist, such as King Solomons Marbles and Help>Slipknot!. Oh well, still sounding great tho!!!!!
I hit up the 6/29 Penn's Peak show, even though it was sold out, I figured i'd hit it up and chill in the lot seeing as how I wouldn't be able to catch any of the actual show's on the tour.
