I decided tonight that I'm taking Fall off and plan on staying in Boston and working full time to pay rent.If worse comes to worse, I'll move back home for a few months. The stress of going six semesters straight is starting to dwell on me and I hate it.I think that's why I've been feeling so shitty for the past month or so.I can just feel the anxiety building up.Hopefully I can make it through this semester without going crazy.I don't know how some people like my roommate plan on going all eight semesters in a row.I wish I knew how to deal with procrastination better.I've definitely gotten better dealing with anxiety having dealt with it before....but sometimes there's just a limit.
Hello, I've never heard of a fuck school, but it sounds like an interesting concept. Does it work like a sleeping dictionary?
i know how you feel...im getting ready to start my 9th quarter in a row. every quarter around registration time i have to think if i want to take a quarter off to work and relax from school work but i just want to get school done with haha. cant really help you on the procrastination though as i have the same problem lol. hope everything works out for you
Lol, right now I care more about my well being then getting into the real world so quick.I want to enjoy it before the time comes to grow up. A part of me feels a little relieved thinking about time off, especially in the fall.
Fuck school wooooooooot!!!!! edit: on a serious note, i do think you should take a break. it sounds like a good idea
high school is pretty fucking easy, i passed by doing minimal work. college is tougher, a lot more work. still easy to get by, at my school anyway lol, but not as much
the only thing that worries me about taking a quarter off is that i wouldnt want to go back and then id be in classes with people i dont know most of the time
The main problem with taking a semester off is the fact after that going back to school always seems so unappealing
@Greg and Meli Did either of you take AP classes in high school and if so what would you say their comparison to an actual college course is?
Honestly I don't think that will happen to me.....especially with how much I'll end up owing lol. Seriously though, I need one semester off to give my brain a break and come back for Winter, refreshed and willing to learn and not procrastinate.
AP is a gyp if you are not sure whether you will get the score you need on the test or not. Might as well take dual credit - it is basically assured you get the credit hour and you don't have to take some lame ass test. It is more $$$ though
you should definitly take a break if its going to help...i got real stressed out a few quarters ago because i had way too much to do and i needed to buy a bunch of stuff i couldnt afford and that quarter i came real close to taking a quarter off
Dual credit around here is free except for the price of books, but isn't offered through my catholic school. I don't care about the test itself or even credit for the class, I was just wondering about difficulty level.
Hell no lol.Since it's an art school, professors don't take general classes too serious at least in my experience..Except for English of course! My last English was pretty rough but I got through it and learned a lot!I'm sure it would be pretty similar to an AP high school class, because the ones previous to it were quite similar to the ones I had in high school.
