This is like some shit we used to make fun of the soviet union for-destroying things for no reason, deliberatly wasting money, labor, and materials, etc.

Under obama we're still paying farmers to grow nothing.

Under obama we just gave the worlds biggest gift to the insurance companies, while they play along and cry and pretend to NOT like mandatory business.

Under obama we're continuing to STEAL peoples OWN money to destroy their lives for choosing to use chemicals to affect their OWN brains.

Under obama we're still playing world police and involved in numerous conflicts and standoffs around the world.

Under obama we're subsidizing worthless unworkable business models, while allowing the business and manufacturing we need to go to china. Which ties into my next point, and the thing that has me particularly pissed/got me to make this thread:



Cash for clunkers. It's the most FUCKED up idea ever.

The videos are frustraiting me, in particular, include one showing a masarati with 18k miles on it, that won't run.... well shit, give ME that thing, I'll have an electric masariti, but noooo.....

The program involves buying, for large amounts of money, peoples cars, and deducting that from a new purchase price. Okay, so far so good.

The cars are destroyed. And not "clunkers", perfectly good cars. Youtube's full of them seizing engines and other stupid things. Now, as I understand it the dealership (well known scumbags, almost all of them.... ever read the grapes of wrath? ) may buy the cars they think they can make a profit on, and the rest get destroyed.

So they're destroying every car that a dealership doesn't want to try to make a buck on, in order to "help" americans with these cars fall into debt, for the sake of saving the "economy" as it pertains to GM, which is now a branch of the federal government, essentially.

That's right. The government will destroy your fine car and it's fine components so that they can take more of your money than you can afford for a piece of junk with planned obselesence built in and features up the ass that nobody needs or even should have.

We need to be making PEOPLES CARS, clone the VW type 1!. This is an artificial market that is being made by destroying good things at taxpayer expense so that they can sell things that never should have been designed or built. We shouldn't be selling shitty cars that will last ten years with integrated seat heaters and entertainment systems worth more than peoples homes, to people who don't even OWN their homes.

And what about the good cars destroyed? So maybe the car doesn't run as it is.... are we wasteful commies or the free USA? Give them to high schools with tech schools, to refurbish and sell cheaply or give to students? give or sell them cheaply to poor americans who don't have cars?

....I'm particularly frustraited because my engine seems to have a fuel injector problem, and i'm hoping I haven't caused too much engine damage running with gas in the oil.... but with the number of cars sacraficed to this, I'm sure good engines I could use have been seized over and over.... (on that note, anyone have a KA24DE they don't need?.....) And many other americans too.



So yeah: we're paying corporations NOT to grow food while people starve to death in parts of the world that we're paying our private security contractors and weapons manufactures to help us kill MORE people in, while exporting our microchip manufacture to their neighbors, when we could be building things at home and dropping bundles of food and not cluster bombs, and paying americans to destroy cars so that we can fun the governments stake in the auto industry to keep the industry MUCH larger than it should be, when we could be paying to train mechanics to keep these things on the road, and engineers to design cars that are lighter, more efficient, simpler, and all around better. And we're all paying taxes to wage a puritan war against OURSELVES to fund the american prison building and law enforcement pork barrel economies.

Everyone says ron paul is a clown who couldn't run any part of government except ending the war on drugs. And I don't think shutting it down is the answer either, I think making it not evil is. But hell, he's better than what we're doing, no matter what faux news will feed you.

Cash for clunkers was one thing that I'm particularly angry about, which IS obamas, you might notice it's about half my fucking post.

But obama ran on the platform of changing america for the better, and far from that, he has made ALL of these things WORSE.

All the things I mentioned are responsible for our current economic problems, and his solution is to put a patch on the already over-inflated balloon, so when it ruptures it's catastrophic instead of a leak like we already have a few of. We need to be letting air OUT of the balloon..... that is, CHANGING things.

I didn't even mention the housing crisis-he bails out the banks, at the EXPENSE OF THE PEOPLE. The banks who lied and escaped with huge amounts of our money got of scott free, and many of them simply saved the bailout money and changed nothing in their day to day functionings! He SOLD OUT the american homeowner to the banks who had already fucked them over!

Seriously, doesn't the UK have it's own problems you can worry about? Go make a thread about how fucked parliment is, as I understand it that's pretty true too.

Obama changes the world with his political showboating, showing a piece of paper we all knew existed and killing ONE man. Okay, so there will be another osama.

Obama is a complete and utter failure, he changes osama bin laden and is afraid to change the corporate and governmental system that broke things in the first place. We're still over there pissing them off, it will all just happen again. He's playing the american political game, "break it so I have something to fix.... but nothing that needs to be broken for the status quo".

It's not EVEN the status quo, it's driving the american middle class into poverty, and the upper class into the extreem upper class.

My point is he's done WORSE than bush, or many of his predeceassors, and the whole right rails against it as though it's NOT what they want.

Nobody has any clue what they're voting for. A tiny number of people just call their get rich schemes whatever they want, and people squabble and vote over it, when both candidates want the same thing. And both say they'll change things one direction or the other. They're going the SAME place, and obama is no different.

He's betrayed the american people, and made a fool out of many such as my self. I wasen't old enough to vote for him, but constantly extolled his virtues. Now it's true that mccain and palin are bad news, but I wish obama wasen't a "lesser evil".

I know it's not obama that started it, my point is that he's bought into it and sold out the people just like all the rest, and not only that, his position on the "left" has enabled him to do it in a very sneaky way, while the right pretends outrage.

It's not like I just realized this, I just got particularly empassioned by learning more about cash for clunkers, it seems so benign if you just hear the name. So it pissed me of and I made a thread about the whole thing.

 

In my opinion Obama is as much trapped by a dysfunctional political system as the majority of the American people. A victim of circumstance the many mistakes he’s made are to a large degree the result of that dysfunctional system.

To me the question is can Americans repair their system? I think it needs a political movement that is aimed at doing just that, the problem is, that it got the ‘tea party’ which seemed it wanted to do the opposite.

 

Its not just obama, its everyone in office. I have no doubt that all these problems we are seeing were thoughtout well before he came into office. It doesn't matter who is our president because this country is runned by people we don't ever see.

Right now the country is playing musical chairs, the music is still on and everyone is running in circles thinking their gonna get a chair. Well i'm afraid when the music stops this time not just one person who originally stood up wont sit back down, this time around it going to be many.

Their is a commerical on tv now saying how when people buy a house jobs are created, so now we all need to GO OUT AND BUY A HOUSE. Its the same idea as cash for clunkers. Others such as the buy back program you see through bestbuy. When you buy a new TV you can take your old one in for cash. These ideas are EVERYWHERE and people fall for them constantly as if they are going to get the better end. GET REAL YOU SHEEP.

If anything we shouldn't pissed at our politicians, but our own American people. The people have forgot they have the power and are letting corrupt bankers, politicians, government officials and cops drive this country into the grave. I know maybe three of four people who don't vote in the presidential election because we don't think our vote counts. Why would it? Haven't you dumb fuckers noticed the country continues to head in the same direction regardless of who is in office? Now lets see how the country responds when nobody votes because we want things to start over.

Americans continue to eat at fastfood chains, continue to shop at walmart, continue to agree with all laws the cops are fucking us over with, continue to think wallstreet is a good way to invest, continue to pay as much as 30% taxes of their yearly income and the oil billionaires don't pay a cent towards our countries taxes. WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE ENOUGH? Well probably when you wake up on the street corner and your only defense is throwing rocks.

When I was 22 i worked 40 to 48 hours a week during a graveyard shift. I busted my ass man, every fucking night, during holidays, everything because i was in the grocery business. At the end of the year I made a woopping $26,000 (Under 25,000 is considered poverty) well i was taxed 24% of that $26,000 and now im considered to be part of the poverty. A year later I left everything behind and moved back home to get things more figured out. Why Americans continue to allow taxes to rape them is beyond me. The whole country needs to protest and fight during the start of the year, but noting gets done because every single person is afraid to be arrested as if 300million people can be if we were to say enough is enough.

I refuse to have children because of so many reasons this thread says. Why would you want to bring a child into this fucking mess right now? We got to fix some serious shit before family time begins.

Roo we are paying for our parents and our parents parents mistakes because they have been lied to their entire lives. They fell for the hook like any fish would once its in the water. WE have to clean up this mess.

Continue to fight locally, stand up to corruption, help your neighbors, ralley anyone you can, fight locally and come together nationally.

Its not just Obama. It will never be just one person. Its corporations and the politicians that are in their pockets. This will always include the president because its impossible to come anywhere close to running for president in America without selling your soul along the way.

America's biggest problem is that no one in government works for the people anymore. They work for the people that pick up the tab for their campaigns.

This includes the pharmeceutical, car, bank, biotechnology, corporate farming, tobacco, and chemical industries..just to name a few.

The most tragic part of it all is that if we actually did elect a president that really wanted to clean up corruption in Washington, he would more than likely be assasinated. I think thats a huge reason JFK was shot.

Self-interest rules this country, but you can't blame it on one person. Obama is part of a long-reaching web of power that includes a lot of nefarious characters.

I don't know why more people aren't rallying to support Ron Paul. As far as I'm concerned, he's the only politician in Washington that managed to get there with his soul intact. I'm sure the media has been paid a lot of money by some shadowy figures to portray Ron Paul as a clown.

Also, to everyone going "it's not just him", think more carefully about what I'm saying.... Of course it's not just him, but for about a hundred and fifty years the US managed to not really let evil people get too much of a foothold. They would make progress, and it would be taken back. But then in the last 50, the republicans have sold evil as evil, and for some reason americans have bought it, knowing full well what it was. But obama is a stealth republican. Literally.

He's saying one thing, and serving the interests of the other side. We all knew what bush was about ,we all knew what mccain was about (and he almost got in on his honesty about evil, too) we knew what regan was about, etc. But obama said democrat, and was bush III.

And from this position, he's been FAR more effective at being a republican than any real republican could be, because it's a totally new angle on evil.

And what's even more frustrating, all the people who think he's evil are bumbling fools with some silly idea about birth certificates or world banks or zionist conspiracies or illuminati or NWO's or whatever. They discredit anyone with anything real to say against him.

All you have to do to understand what he is is listen to the news and pretend they're saying he's a republican and not a democrat.

And what makes this more damaging is the time it's coming at. Many other programs and attacks are now coming to a head, and obama went "I'll fix it", and then started fixing it with a fire hose of gasoline.

The US is turning brown, and the people who don't like it are just not having enough babies. The only reason our population is staying level is because of ILLEGAL immigrants. In a few years they'll hold a SERIOUS majority, and it will hopefully toast the current elite class.

I just hope it happens before they're all so assimilated that there's a seamless transition to a brown majority.

I don't see a big enough difference in Republicans and Democrats for this to hold any significance for me.

Wedge issues are certainly played up to create division where no division actually exists. The idea of Republicans and Democrats serving two different sides of the fence is a mirage.

Ultimately both sides are working for the same common goal, to serve the interest of business and whatever puts money into their pockets.

 

Cash for clunkers where they are taking physical property in exchange for ther useless federal reserve notes. they are probably selling the scrap metal to foreign countries. Something else is going on here we are not told....
