We need some commonsense reform with free speech in this country. More restrictions, and more sensible reforms for more freedom of speech. More in line of what they have in other modern western democracies. While keeping the fact that as Americans we still have the system that gives some of the most freedoms.
We need societal change. I see many freedoms we have in the western world, well definitely in the UK, are an illusion enhanced by an establishment which allows them to divide people. They may place a law that may appear to stop discrimination but then allow their media to help fan the flames for those who are against the law. All this stirs up hate and divides folk real freedom from discrimination is still lost. A divided people against one another is sure easier to keep down and control. We need a societal change and freedoms that bring compassion, empathy and love where a hard fist is rejected and where we hold the helping hand. But let's not forget, history and reality has shown us all freedoms are never truly a gift of the establishment they always have to be won. When society is divided it makes winning such freedoms a lot darn harder and sometimes impossible. We gotta try and break this mould.
