Lastnight some friends and I went (well broke into) an old abandoned insane asylum. It was the freakiest experience ever. There are several small buildings that surround the main part of the institution but we first went into one of the smaller buildings with three floors and then we went through this underground tunnel that led to the morgue in the main building. The morgue was so creepy. All the old lab tables were still there, blood was still on the wall in some places, operations chairs and tables were still left out along with old rusted tools. in the first building in the patients rooms there were faded drawings of horses on the walls. Some parts of the building were flooded and there were icicles hanging down from the ceiling. it looked like a scene from some horror movie. in order to even get in there we had to climb under fences and practically crawl through mudd. we kept hearing noises in the building but who knows that couldve been our imagination or lol maybe it couldve been ghosts of the old patients. ive heard many stories about the place being haunted (and it probably is). the patients were supposedly tortured/abused there and doctors did human experiments on them...thats one of the reasons why i heard it closed. on one of the websites about the place it says that there could be up to 1200 people burried on the grounds of the asylum. anyways i took some really good pictures of the underground tunnels and the morgue so ill put those in my gallery later. i highly doubt ill go back there http://www.opacity.us/site13.htm
lol so far we have $250 that will go to someone that will sleep there overnight with only one flashlight and no cell phone. no one is willing to do it...im definitely not
Fly me out there. That's in that little town that starts with a "D" right? The asylum the movie was filmed in?
Wow, that's really freaky. *shudders* I don't think I would have been able to go into a place like that! I once went into an old, abandoned house in which a murder took place. I swear I felt some really, really wicked vibes in there. It had been broken into numerous times since the murder, and the back door was hanging off the hinges, so I went in out of morbid curiosity. I didn't make it too far without freaking out, turning tail, and running right back out.
I troll houses like that ALL THE TIME Or at least I did before I realised people left syringes there.... sheepsh.
I used to work in an old hospital they used in WW2 that they turned into a family practice clinic. Every few weeks one of the soldiers had to stay the night in the place to pull duty. I'd hear footsteps and elevators going up and down by themselves. I hated that place.
yeah i've done that dozens of times...oh,...wait a minute, you said you broke in to an insane asylum?
I actually just moved indoors about 2 months ago for the first time in 2 1/2 years, but I like to keep my options open.
will do the place is HUGE...if youre into that you would definitely have a good time. i wouldnt reccommend touching anything though that would be a good project to do over the summer
