I'm excited because I ordered Juno and the "Freaks and Geeks" season on amazon.com today.

Does anyone actually remember watching "Freaks and Geeks"? It was only on for one season in 1999 and I loved it. I could totally relate to the main character (I was in high school at this time in Michigan...just like in the series - though it was NOT in the 80's when the series is set)...

I almost forgot about it until I watched my boss's "My So Called Life" series on DVD and there was an advertisement for it.

In that case, do any of you remember watching "My So-Called Life"?

Yes! It's one of my favorite NEW movies. I love Ellen Page...she would have been my friend in high school. I could totally relate to her character.

It was a good show and one that has aged quite well with time, I think.

Freaks and geeks, Doug, Pete and Pete and My so called life are children/teen shows that have aged quite well in fact. Time does not treat all old shows with kindness however, as salute your shorts and my brother and me has proven...though it is fun to get nostalgic none the less.

Oh, didn't notice the mentioning of my so called life, missed that somehow, funny I should mention it anyways as it fits right in with the topic.

You can go on ABC and watch episodes every week.

One of the few shows I actually watch from time to time, along with the occasional simpsons.

there was this girl I worked who kept telling me to watch Freaks & Geeks because I'd love it, but I haven't seen it yet.
Juno was pseudo everything and a waste of my time which could have been better spent cutting loose and getting wasted by myself and singing along to some early Beastie Boys records or something. I saw 2 other films about young pregnant women the same month I saw Juno, Godard's Hail Mary and Solondz's Palindromes, and they were both better films. a lot of people disagree with me so maybe I'm the one who is wrong.

Juno had potential but it kind of dragged on for me after a while. I was just waiting for it to end about 3/4s of the way through.

Started off interesting but got boring.

I think that's what I liked about it. It was dry...and honest...and everything I wanted it to be...

*shrugs* I'm going to check out the other movies about young pregnant women that were suggested, though...see what I think.

I remember both. I watched Freaks and Geeks again not too long ago and I still really like it. And My So Called Life will always have a soft spot in my heart. :D
