what does everyone think of this band??

I like "Do you want to" yeah, its a bit rehashed rock n roll, but who cares, really?

 

they have their good songs I suppose but they'e nothing special either...I can't quite understand why they've become so big

 

yeah, they arent anything special by any means, they are just rock n roll, which you have heard many times over.....

 

i think they are alright...their debut was great, but their new one isnt anything special...

 

i cant stand em.

 

that first song they came out with was pretty good, but after awhile, I just got tired of it and thats the only thing I've ever heard from them.

 

Rapidly proving themselves to be one-hit-wonders.....shame really, we could do with more good bands (i like wot i've heard, but heard one song, yer've heard 'em all)

They're alright but I'm getting kinda sick of them. There's a really big indie scene here in Brighton and you can just hear Franz Ferdinand wherever you go.

 

I have just listened to their second album all the way through, and I can sum it up best this way:

Sophomore Slump.

 

i haven't really listened to their second album, but i think their first one was really good. i love 'take me out' . but like you said, they're not really that special..

 

i cant really get into the second album, but i still like the 1st alot. its music for girls to dance to!

 

The first Franz album was really good and I'm slowly getting into the second one. It's maybe less catchy than the first album, but there are some very good tunes on it. And Liam is totally right, I always dance to Franz Ferdinand!

I've never listened to the debut. I have heard "Take Me Out" plenty. Tough to say much without knowledge of the 1st album but, this is a pretty good sophomore effort. I enjoyed it, especially tracks like "This Boy," "Walk Away," and "Do You Want to." There is something repetitive there, and I won't buy the 1st album, but these Brits are alright with me.

 

I really DO NOT like them. They are complete queers! Their music is just so boring and they are far to overrated.

 

awww, its not boring! and i dont think theyre "queers" either. they do dress in quite a camp way, but it looks really good!

 

It's called emo, that's the way they dress. If you think their music is "boring," you should try listening; you have to buy the album first.

can't say I'm an expert on Franz, or emo for that matter, but I know for sure they ain't emo

 

i think shes just talking about the way they dress. but they dont really dress emo, its really arty the cropped hair and all. they look alot better than any emo outfit!

 

I like them.. they are not emo! I love do you wanna. They're not the best but theyre pretty cool
