I thought they did a good job on it. The way they portrayed the story, even people who weren't around in the 60s and 70s were taken along for the ride. .
My dad took me to see this film as a kid. I have very fond memories of my dad taking us kids to the movies, and this particular one was one that we all enjoyed and talked about for weeks.
Absolutely. I have always loved Tom Hanks, and this was his best I believe. I was in love with Jenny too. I was as torn up as Forrest was when she died.
I liked it. Not so much now, maybe because I was forced to watch it multiple times. I dunno oh and the yelling of, "run Forrest run" any time someone ran. It got old fast. haha But I do like shrimp.
Yes. Great film. I thought it were good when he rang the Watergate hotel to say he was worried somebody's lights had gone out.
It really was an amazing movie that really went away from the mold that was being made for the time. I really liked how at the awards ceremony they asked Tom Hanks if he would consider a sequel. He said, "Why do we need a sequel? I think the first movie said everything that needed to be said".
forrest gump is the shit!! i love that movie. i cry at the end it gets me every time. ahaha im such a dork... any of you been to bubba gumps in monteray ca?? it is filled with all the props and wardrobe worn in the movie. and they have shrimp
There is a Bubba Gump's in Gatlinburg, as well as here in Daytona. I have been in them both, but never eaten there. I had a customer bring me some leftover garlic shrimp from the one in GBurg last summer, but I didn't eat it. Kinda funny about eating things that came from strangers. It smelled great though. I'm glad they didn't make a sequel, I agree with Tom Hanks. They captured the entire story brilliantly in one film. To add any more would only take away from the whole.
