This petition pretains to a dog named Samantha who passed on at the age of eleven from the cruelties of animal abuse. Sam spent half of her life being neglected by her owner. She was hit by a car once, and the owner did not seek help from a vet. She was never the same after that. She did not walk right and could not wag her tail. Then she developed a tumor on her side and her owner let it go until it got to the size of a softball. Then he got it taken off. Then it returned again and he left it go. Samantha then indured a painful death. Her owner left town and put her on a extremely long leash, and she tangled herself around a tree and was unable to reach food or water on a few extra hot days, when I got to her it was too late. She was already showing signs of passing on. Sam could not walk, did not recognize me, her body was shaking uncontrolably and was foaming out of her mouth. We left to call the Humane Society. When we came back she was even worse..She was in a sewage infested stream. I had to climb down and carry her out she was so weak. I put her on a shorter chain-link leash. I left to call the Humane Society again. I can't tell you how hard it was to watch her suffer.
