This is a very insightful article and it is really good of you to post it out here for all to see and learn. I have always believed that cats are dogs in disguise, but there are many differences which if one notices closely, are impossible to ignore.

Of course, the best thing is when your dogs protect your cats from any and all dangers since they consider them part of their pack, even if the cats think otherwise.

that is a damn fine article about cats; thank you for posting it pixeewinged.
tobias cats do think of dogs as being part of their pride and, i have seen cats protect dogs, just like dogs will protect cats.

I couldn't agree more with you on this one blackcat666, since as I said, cats are really dogs in disguise and the reverse is true too. I have a cat named "Crinkles" who I rescued from the local animal shelter and he has a knack for keeping all my dogs in line, if they get too rambunctious and they know better than to mess with him in anyway. I named him Crinkles, since he has a crooked tail and a personality to match his dominiant stubborness.

The best part is when my friends bring their dogs over to my place and the first thing they encounter is Crinkles who lets them know who is running the show and puts them in their place straight away. He is definately an alpha dog in disguise and I love him ever so much and even more for standing up to any and all dogs no matter their size.

    Loved the article, very informative!

I especially liked the part about "talking" and how some cats have a lot to say. My cat talks to us all of the time. She's constantly doing it. It's so adorable. When you talk to her she'll meow right back to you, and continue on back and forth like she's having a conversation.

    I love that cat! :D

    Haha! no kidding.
My cat, Petula, is so very vocal. People are always commenting on that when they come over. My neighbor told me her meow sounds like an old lady that has been smoking all of her life. Haha! Super friendly with everyone also
