Doctors and science claim that food doesn't cause acne, but I'm inclined to disagree. My beauty therapist gave me a list of foods that are believed the aggravate acne among them cheese, mince, sausages, cream and cream based desserts, caffine and alcohol. My main vice is cheese and since eliminating it, I've noticed a fair difference in my skin trouble. Does anyone else find the idea that what what put into our bodies has no effect on our skin just a little hard to swallow? If anyone is interested I can type up the full list of foods she gave me.
I agree with u that it is a bit hard to believe that what u eat has no effect on acne. When I stop eating chocolate I notice a reduction in my skin problem. I’m interested in seeing the full list of foods. Thanks
Just wanted to let you know that, although I believe foods can aggravate skin disorders, I think how you make them has a lot to do with it too. If you're standing over a hot steamy stove, frying steaks and hamburgers like I did at a restaurant a long time ago, you'll be more likely to have a zit problem. It has to do with what you eat but all kinds of other factors also. I notice now, when I come back from a trip to the shore, my skin is really dried out for a few weeks. It's a combo of elements. Peace, and, good luck with your skin problems.
yeah I agree about the elements contributing definatly. My skin turns to shit every single winter I have been living in Wellington. (capital of New Zealand and a very cold, VERY windy place in the winter). My skin is usually flawless during summer. The list I have said those things you mentioned about hot stoves also contribute Dimensionality, also sitting next to hot heaters and having hot showers (both of which I do often living in a cold place). Will get the list up for you guys soon as.
Ok heres the list Foods that congest the skin - Meat fat Mince Sausages Chips Fried Fatty Foods Mayonnaise Peanut Butter Cheese Cheesecake Chocolate Milo Nougat Fudge Full cream Milk Cream Cream based desserts Ice Cream Foods that heat the skin - Oranges Orange juice Strawberries Chocolate Chili Hot spices Curries Wasabi Alcohol Very Hot Drinks Coffee Caffeine Other factors that heat the skin - Emotional stress Stenuous excercise Very Hot or Cold foods Sun exposure Hot air conditioning Sitting by the fire place Hot blow heaters Hot rooms Hot showers Saunas Spa pools Steam rooms Cooking over a hot stove.
Ya you are very true that food is not the main cause of the acne, and I want to explain that there are some more points that are not related with the acne, like no one know that Acne is not an inherited disease in the medical sense of the word. However, acne is more common in children of parents who have had or still have acne. Looking at it the other way, if you look at parents of children with acne; more of them have acne or have had acne than parents of children who do not have acne. If you look at twins, you will usually see acne in both twins if they are identical while the incidence of acne affecting both non-identical twins is much less. For the confirmation of my knowledge about the acne you can visit http://www.medical-health-care-information.com/acne-skin-care.html And dirt is not directly responsible for the acne and dirt does not cause acne, but it can aggravate and amplify acne. Acne is caused by excessive oil production by the sebaceous glands. Washing once or twice daily with mild soap and water can be effective to remove dirt, but there are many other factors that need to be taken in to account to rid you of acne's blemishes. For the additional information about the cure I suggest you to visit http://www.medical-health-care-information.com/acne-skin-care.html as you tell in the beginning that food is not main cause of the acne so I tell you In general, it is no longer felt that dietary products have any influence on acne. Chocolate, caffeine, or fats are not statistically related to causing acne based on overall studies. There may be some individual differences in that certain foods do flare up acne lesions and if you determine that you are sensitive to something, discontinuing that food is the recommended. But when ever you suffer by the acne then you have to conscious about every factor its in your benefits, so for the enjoying a healthy life you have to take precaution
Ugh people argue with me about this all the time! Because there is some kind of MYTH that certain foods DON'T cause acne, which is crazyyy. I know that when I eat certain foods I get pimples, and I am not rubbing grease on my face ya know? I just stay away from fried food and soda and crap for my skin.. I actually don't eat that crap anyway but I find those to be cause it the most for me.
1. All animal products 2. All sugar 3. Bad fats 4. All Processed carbs like cookies, donuts ect... 5. Spices Natural carbs are alright.
what??? that's ludicrous. The food you eat impacts your whole body, and your skin is your single most largest organ in your entire body. Okay, maybe food doesn't cause acne, but it sure can cause eczema, and it can interfere with your body's immune system, and all kinds of other ways food can indirectly be related to acne. I know that for me, when I eat certain things, it's like my body has to detoxify itself of the poision I've ingested, and one of the ways it does that is by breaking out in pimples.
I'm glad I'm not the only one mammaboogie. And you know what else I'm thinking? Sodium Laural Sulphate (sorry I KNOW thats not spelt correctly, Im in a rush) and other foaming angents fuck up your skin too. My beauty therapist also told me I need to go back to a cream cleanser because foaming and gel cleansers fuck up the acid mantle of the skin causing it to dry and over produce oil to compensate... and voila pimples! My skins improving in leaps and bounds since I went back to my old cream cleanser. Anyone hear the sound of pharmacutical CEOS rubbing their hands in glee as the gaze upon foaming cleansers which people THINK will help but really make matters worse??
