Can anyone help me figure this one out. I've done some research on snakes and stuff, but there is so much and some of it doesn't make sense or seem like it should even apply.

I can't remember all of the details because it has been a few days, but the gist is: I was with my sister somewhere, all of a sudden we were someplace else. At first we were flying on these animals (no animal that I know of though, like a mythical animal that people could fly on) and we were flying over water and stuff, as if we were birds just flying around. Then I noticed that we came upon this huge body of water that we had to fly over in order to get where we were going. I don't know where we were going but I know that it was extrememly important that we get there. All of a sudden my body felt tired and weak as if I couldn't fly anymore. It almsot felt like I was the one doing all of the work and not the flying animal, like I had the wings. I almost wanted to stop and rest but I knew we had to keep going. I saw what looked like a short cut so I told my sister to stay back and let me see it first. Sure enough it was not a short cut we could take. I told my sister to fly around the long way and I'd catch up to her, but I didn't know if I could make it over that huge body of water, so I would test the short cut. Well it was dense trees and my animal or me couldn't touch the trees, but we couldn't fly too high above them either. And if I got too close to the trees there were these HUGE snakes. Bigger than I have ever seen before. And they were trying to bite me. They were mean.

    Then I woke up.

well i think the contradictions you're running into in your research is that what snakes represented before christianity came along, was just almost completely stood on its head when it did. for no really good reason, other then the politics of it.

the culture of mundaneness is big mean 'snakes' that drag us down and not let us fly through the diversity that really does exist, if not in exact detail, beyond them.
