i keep having this dream where i float above myself and around the room....the ceiling...and it is freaking me OUT. i remember this happening a couple of times when i was a kid, but i'm an adult and it has been happening almost every night for a couple of weeks. i wake up terrified and nothing has ever felt so real. i am about half convinced it was real... last night was especially scary because i almost hit my ceiling fan. i feel like i'm losing my mind or being childish, but i have children of my own! this is seriously scaring the hell out of me. does anyone know why i keep having these dreams and how i can make them STOP!

My thought it that maybe your spirit feels as though you are trapped and need to be free. Wether it be something in your life or something you need spiritually.

Also, try a video tape of your self at night, maybe it will show how it affects you when you are asleep. Wether you look like you're struggling or are relaxed and happy.

hi, from what you have said, it seems that you have discounted the idea of astral travelling? You have no need to be afraid. Dreams always have a positive message. If the idea of astral travelling doesn't fit, then floating in dreams can show that you have the ability to project your mind onto others. The dream shows you this by showing your mind outside your body. This can be a useful skill if used wisely and ethically, for instance it means you have the ability to be a very good sales person or teacher.

If you want to explore the floating further, when you find yourself doing it, don't be afraid, just picture yourself leaving the room and going outside. If that works, try going further afield. Just remember that if you use this talent unethically (for instance to spy on someone) you will lose it. It's actually a great gift - all that free travel

You have to first realize it's only a dream, then learn to have fun with it. But when you're flying, watch out for those damn power lines. Everyone that I've talked to that flies in their dreams always have problems with those wires. So when you say that you almost hit your ceiling fan, I can relate. When I first started trying to fly it would take every bit of my energy to lift off the ground, after years went by I was able to take off like a rocket. One time I was flying over my neighborhood and everything was white, all the houses looked like just outlines, it took me a minute to realize that it had snowed. Once you realize that you're dreaming, there's a delicate balance between being able to stay asleep and wake up. It takes some practice, but in time you can control your dreams without waking up and that's when they become really fun. I was even able to teleport a couple times, I would say where I wanted to go three times and I would be there. I was like Superman in my dreams, it was great.

well, that's strange because i'm going to school right now to be a teacher and i work at an elementary school. i don't feel like i have any control over the dreams whatsoever. i always feel like i want to wake up but i can't open my eyes and i can't talk and then finally i wake up and i'm just in a panic until i realize it was a dream.

Probably an OBE. But there seems to be a lack of knowledge or will. If it means anything, it may mean that while you want to extricate yourself from a bad situation you feel powerless to do so because you can't see what's next.

Typically you should eb able to fly. But it may take will power.
