Flies

.i am in a non stop battle with flies...i dont have a lot of flies...but i do have them ''one at a time''....i have a fly swatter and i am wicked accurate with my swatter....but every time i kill a fly?....within minutes a new fly takes its place..these fuckers are like kamikaze pilots stepping up for a suicide mission

 

I watched that The Fly movie a few week's ago and have been a lot more concious of them ever since. And baboon's. I want to give one a hug. :love:

I recon the flies are upset you keep swatting their bro's and are seeking revenge... what's annoying is when they land on the same spot on your skin over and over and over and over...

 

I have the same problem. Not many flies. Just one or two at a time. Sometimes I just let them run their course, and most of the time they are so dumb flying around landing on you or repeatedly flying into a closed window for 3 hours that they die on their own, mother nature style.

 

i was sitting here with a doobie and coffee in one hand and my swatter in the other hand...the fly landed on the only place i couldnt swat..right on my left hand beside the doobie and over my coffee..the little prick knew i wouldnt swat either the coffee or the doobie.....pretty much anywhere else...even if it lands on the back of a small childs head i can swat and not injure the child[very much]

 

I had a fly that wouldn't leave me alone on Saturday. I spilled a little cheap wine on my dress and it stayed glued to me for about an hour.

Finally, I ended up whacking that bitch right on the table. I left the guts there so its friends would fly by and know I meant business.

 

I hate flies...

seriously hate the fuckers... and they are relentless...

When we first got here and started pulling the old cedar shake off the walls, there were millions of them everywhere... Since we let the chickens run around loose now though they are mostly gone.

Still lots of house flies though, can't get rid of them here, there are millions of hiding spots for them in between... well, everything on the walls, ceilings and floors...

I hate them.... did I mention that??

I want to buy a bunch of those electric zapper lights and put them everywhere and go to sleep to the sound of zap zap zap, all night long...

every life form presumably exists for some useful reason. that doesn't make me happy to share my living arrangements with all of them.

skeeters are what bother me. flies are ok when they're not being annoying by tromping on me when i'm doing something. but they can all stay outside just fine too.

 

I don't think that skeeters or ticks serve any kind of useful purpose on this planet...those are the only two animals I think are here just to drive us mad!

 

^^ They're the only two animals I kill without eating. Very rarely I kill flies, ( no I don't eat them ) like the time a huge swarm of horse flies wouldn't stop following me. I went into the river with only my head out and they still kept buzzing me. In the river there was a snake. : D

 

i luckily have a fly hunting/eating cat.. :2thumbsup:

He is scared of the spiders which is absolutely unacceptable!

 

The other day I was just chilling, drinking a beer and this obnoxious blowfly decides he wanted to dive bomb into the bottle. I watched it buzz around in a panic for a moment before it just went "plop" into the beer, buzzed for a moment longer, then karked it. Sure I felt sympathy for a fly but c'mon, it was my beer!

An Aussie thing, you wouldn't understand.

 

thats one of the many things i miss about my dog...she would catch flies

 

Get Spiders - they do the trick for me

 

those sticky flytrap things work great too...just dont hang them anywhere near where your head might touch it

 

flies hate basil. a few basil herb plants at the front door or round the house.that way the flies won't bother ye and they still get ta live.

 

These are the best. My family has taken them camping many times and always bring some extra batteries. If a mosquito gets hit by one it will drop in mid air. Flies sometimes need to be held down for a second or two once they are hit and drop. This device seriously kicks ass against bugs. I was thick in the woods one time messing around and i swung it like i was serving a tennis ball and i heard ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP from all the bugs it killed. Tis awesome!

 

i had 2 of those...I ended up throwing them out because i just couldnt resist zapping myself

 

You know, flies don't die if you don't squish them in a paper towel after you hit them. I've watched them get back up.
